A prayer of acceptance and humility
Scripture Reference:
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
Father God,
You have created all things, and, You know all things.
You know our comings and goings. You know our very thoughts and intents.
Father God, please help us to confess our shortcomings, wrongdoings and trespasses.
Help us to be honest with ourselves.
Help us to be humble when we need to be.
Give us the strength to speak out when we need to. Give us the courage and ability to right the wrongs that are happening around us.
Father God, help us to accept your correction and conviction, and, not be bitter.
Help our unbelief.
Create in us a clean heart, pure and gentle, so our light can shine before others.
Lord, we are your Body, the Body of Christ.
Help us to accept, You Lord, start with us and end with us. Your eyes go to and fro. You see our hearts and minds – our motivations, of all that we are, and believe.
Lord, may your Spirit continue to dwell in us and among us, all the days of our lives.
