WHAT IF TODAY WAS THE DAY?
What if today, was the day That heaven opened up its gates, and the voices Of angels burst forth in chorus of worship, and praise Then, God in His infinite wisdom, looked down from above To call His children home, to His love?
What if today was the day When the rapture, so long awaited, begun And Jesus, steps out in His glorious light, amid angelic song Stretched His arms wide, with celestial pride In welcome for me to reside?
I would lift up to meet Him of that I am sure. My redemption, with His blood, He procured He knows my heart, and all that I've done Good and bad, in seasons of plenty and none But, I rest in His forgiveness The everlasting truth, In His promise is limitless
What if today was the day?
No rejection would I fear I know He holds me dear His Light, is the presence that guides me His Love, so divinely clarifies me In the faithfulness of His truth, I am whole
I am not afraid of his coming, by His Grace, I am saved His simple rules for living, is what I have believed And, all my life I have received, His support Keep the heart fires burning, Judge not, lest you be judge Share, life is in sharing God's blessings from above Most of all, love others, as He has loved us,
What if today was the day?
I am packed and ready to shed this earthly frame Knowing my God, today and forever, is faithfully the same The only luggage I'll ever need Is my faith in believing God's Love, is Universal seed.
