How eating the right foods enhance your writing skills
It’s easy for us to jump on our computers and see 10’s of 1000’s of articles, blogs, vlogs and commentaries of “How to become a better writer”…..just Google it! In doing so, you will find authors from every walk of life. Some you have heard of and some you have not.
I have done this countless times and even when I’m not looking for such, it just happens to put up in my news feed, email inbox or even on television!
After being totally confused of all the methods, references and how to tools, I began to pray and seek God as my primary source and guide. Since there’s so much information out there, I needed Wise Counsel to direct and lead me to who and what I should actually follow.
During my time of prayer and meditation, I was lead to the most unlikely source of all….the study of Anatomy, the Brain and Physiology.
Now, how will that assist in helping anyone sit down at their computer and write an awesome newsletter, poem, article or book that will reach many and work out in their favor?
These are subject matters, often times, not always favorable and/or setback in our long term memory bank from middle, high school and college. Nevertheless, I refreshed my memory and came to realize, paying somewhat attention to my instructors during those years, afforded me the ability to recall the information that was taught me and I could use it to my advantage.
Admittedly, I found no need for true commitment or attention to take these subjects at heart while I was sitting in class, after all, professional singing was my first choice of profession! Now, I understand why they were an integral part of my educational experience and total well-being.
With this being said, the conclusion of me sharpening my Anatomy Knowledge, and how a healthy body actually functions and works, I concluded with the fact that, those classes were important, playing a major role in how I perceive information and how I effectively communicate with others.
Shame I allow myself to get to this point in my life to personally accept this fact on a deeper level!
Which brings me to the topic at hand, certain foods play a major role in getting the best optimization out of our bodies as possible.
"What a person eats can and will affect their everyday habits, thoughts and overall wellness."
Drinking plenty of Water
Eating lots of fruits and Vegetable’s
Deceasing the amount of meats incorporated in one’s diet
Planting an organic garden, at your own home during the proper season, preserving for the winter months (You can save money this way too!)
Applying wheat and grains to your meals
Cutting way down on an abundance of calories, formally known as (STARCH)
Reducing the amount of potato chips, candy, cakes, WHITE sugar we intake
Use Olive Oil to cook with, if your allergic, substitute with another type of oil e.g. Coconut Oil....
(I’m still working on this one, love me some snicker bars!
.....these are just a few things that will aid and assist you, to feel the true vitality that your body can function in and experience when we choose to eat the proper foods.
Eating poorly definitely changes the chemistry of our brains. When we eat the proper foods, we think clearer and are short term memory is sharper!
The antioxidants that we get from eating fruit’s and vegetable’s will help remove free radicals from our bodies, thus giving us healthy energy, proper digestion and beautiful skin. Let us also be reminded that water is also a key ingredient and a refreshing source as well!
Exercise, this reduces stress
Drank plenty of water, this will help your physical appearance look radiant. Enhancing your self confidence
So, the next time we sit down at our Laptops,, or Desks… with pencil or pen at hand or typewriter, if that’s your preference, may we be reminded, we can write with clarity of mind, vibrancy and assurance, that we are doing all we can do, in our lifestyle choices and eating habits, to be all we can be! Producing quality work from a healthy, vibrant and optimized body.
Others will in fact be able to see and read your refreshed writings and able to tell a difference in the structure and overall deliverance. You will be set apart from writings that are forced written, due to a cluttered brain, unhealthy outlook and pressured lifestyle.
When someone feels better about themselves spiritually, emotionally and physically, they have the tendency to accomplish more, pay closer attention to detail and their communication skills or at their highest peak!
