Generally, a formal audience is presumed to expect a more dignified and objective message, whereas, an Informal audience excepts a personable deliverance with a conventional tone.
Equally important, formal and informal messages are sometimes interchangeable depending on how the orator needs to target a certain point or main objective. Some messages need statistics, points of reference and supportive study facts, even in an informal setting.
Note: Make it a habit to be grammatically correct.
Take caution of your choice in words - Not to offend, omit ones convictions or cause intimidation to those who may be of the minority role. Rather build up. Raise the standard for your audiences desire for wisdom, knowledge and understanding.
