The time has finally come. After countless hours of praying, studying, seeking wise counsel, educating yourself and polishing your gifting and talent, you are ready to move to the next level.
You're excited about your personal growth and progress. You make a "To-Do-List" and approach those whom you believe are in place to assist you in your future endeavors. Things are looking brighter and promising in your life, when suddenly, fear grips you.
All sorts of thoughts begin to plague your mind....
What if I pursue this and I fail? What if I think I'm ready and I'm actually, not? What if I'm rejected and they don't like me?
Over and over, negative thoughts quickly erase the enthusiasm and confidence that once motivated you. You feel duped by your very own admission!
Your thoughts have been twisted from your original stance in Faith and replaced with doubt, hesitation, fear and confusion. At your every attempt, you feel like some sort of spiritual and physical cement has engulfed itself around your hands, your feet and your mind. You can't bring yourself to move forward.
I'm sure I'm not alone having felt this way before. And yes, I did find my way out. This is what actually helped me to do so...
I gleaned from other people's personal stories.Real stories.
Personal testimonies of how others overcame obstacles, setbacks and fears. There stories encouraged me to believe in myself and reassured me, I wasn't weird, alone or missing the mark of Faith for experiencing the feelings and emotions that I was going through.
My confidence begin to grow. I regained my passion and desire to press on and follow my dreams and aspirations. Those stories helped me to see the human side of life and reality.
Gleaning from other peoples experiences, when we feel stuck, is a great help. As we all know, there's nothing new under the sun. As individuals we may be different. However, there is always someone else we can identify with, if, we allow ourselves to do so.
Sometimes it helps to come outside of ourselves and reflect on the lives of others. If someone's already achieved what we are desiring to, why not get inspired from their story. Their story very well may be the inspiration needed to get us liberated and set free.
Blessings to all and Always Stay Encouraged!
