We are given our names at birth, and our names have meaning. My name is Shira. Shira is Hebrew, meaning song/poem.
Undoubtedly, some of us struggle or have struggled with our purpose or calling in life.
Drifting, from mundane acts of redundancy. Attempting to find our niche, the thing that makes us happy inside. The thing that gives us a sense of fulfillment.
When we honestly and seriously consider who we are, we are able to rise above the doubt, uncertainties and confusion in our lives.
The Word of God definitely gives us the definition of who we are in Christ, how God sees us through the spiritual lens of His begotten Son. And, God wants us to be just like His Christ - the Anointed One.
When you speak words from our mouths, we communicate formation, calling things into existence. Words - entrusted to us by the Creator to make a difference, uplift, encourage and call things that be not, as though they were.
This is made known to us in the Book Genesis. The beginning of creation, and the authority given to Adam before his fall.
Jesus has redeemed us from the fall, giving us the right hand of fellowship and power over that which so easily besets us.
It's no wonder, that Jesus, asked Peter "Who do you say, I AM...Mark 8:9" - letting Peter know, our Father in Heaven will reveal who we are, what our name means, what He will do in our lives, how He will do it and Satan can't touch us.
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Matthew 16:17 - 19.
God is not that mysterious that He will not tell us our purpose in life, who we are, what He desires for our lives and how He will carry His calling out through us.
Let's take a personal inventory, embracing our names, their meanings, removing the doubt and uncertainties that sometimes cripple the power that's been given us by the Almighty. "Let God's Kingdom come on earth as it is in Heaven.
Every time we say the words I am, let's remember, God also said, I am. Using the word I, should always have purpose. Not for the exaltation of self, God forbid! Rather, walking in divine reality of who God has created and purposed us to be, on earth.
I am, Shira! I am, song! I am, poem! Who do you say you are?
Blessings to all. And, Always Stay Encouraged!
Yes! "I can't do it! You do it in me", That will certainly preach! I agree,Carina. Exalting ourselves with attempting to be perfect is stressful. Only through Christ our we perfected in His grace. There is a scripture that does come to mind concerning you name, Carina....Daniel 6:3King James Version (KJV)
3 Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm. Blessings to you my friend! Thanks for taking the time to read and comment.
I am a beautiful, beloved little daughter of the Most High, according to the meanings of my names.
It took me long to realize "little" does not mean insignificant, and that embracing my smallness in humility and meekness is what allows me to be truly great. Because our weakness, our nothingness is what allows His strength and awesome power to shine through. When we're so full of ourselves, we don't allow Him to work unhindered. When we come to the end of ourselves and say, I give up! I am nothing! I am wretched and miserable!, that's when He can shape these vessels as He desires.
I am also a song, that can be out of tune, but when the Holy Spirit is allowed to work, it can also be a source of inspiration for others.
