Some of us have some super ideas, witty inventions, visions that are inspired and God breathed. We know we do, but following through and actually committing to see these originations come into fruition has been a problem for many.
I could kick myself for the amount of times that I have sabotaged my very own goals and attempts to turn something great into a reality. Whether it's fear of success or fear of failure, our originations take back sit with comfortability and what we're familiar with, if in fact, we neglect to keep pushing to see them manifest.
The things we have already accomplished can keep us stagnated, and our personal growth and professional development will suffer. Still in all, reoccurring thoughts and memories languish as time passes, eventually fading out into the distance of "Would've Should've, Could've".
Yes, this had been the case for me, until one day I came up with a simple, "Do-Able" plan to help me follow through with my desired plans, goals and accomplishment. Perhaps this outline can help someone else face their orginations head on realistically and deal with the common fears that often pairs with our inspired plans.
1. Write down your thoughts and ideas in a simple format.
See: Habakkuk 2:2
2. Incorporate the 5 W's and the BIG H
(Who, What, When, Where, Why and How)
See: The Book of Ezra and Exodus Chapter 31
3. Always, Always consider the cost!
See: Luke 14:28
4. Research other ventures, ministries, businesses or non-profits who have been successful and are similar to your plan of operation.
Note: "There's nothing new under the sun" You'll be bringing your creativity and perspective to your inspired vision. What makes your vision unique?!
See: Ecclesiastes 1:9 and I Corinthians 3:10
5. Write out your mission statement, core values. (1 - 3 sentences is sufficient in the beginning.) As time goes by you may want to include more.
See: Mark 16:15, I Chronicles 16:24, Job 22:28
6. Start out small. Adding to much will overwhelm you, especially if you don't have a partner or team.
See: I Samuel 16:7, I Samuel 17:40, Zechariah 4:10, I Timothy 4:12, Jeremiah 1:8, Joshua 1:7
7. Test your vision out. Without telling you entire plan, speak with others who's had proven success. Note: Do not compare your beginning with the individual that's already at an apex in their accomplishments. This will most definitely discourage you.
See: I John 4:1, Proverbs 1:5, Proverbs 20:18, Proverbs 22: 17-24, v34
These are the first seven plans of action to take that I suggest. Read about the next plans of action in Part 2. We will discuss in more detail regarding For Profit vs Non Profit.
Until next time, blessings to all and Always Stay Encouraged!
