To bring Glory to God and bring others closer to Him.
February 7, 2017
Psalms 121 (KJV)
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.
The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
Last night we were jolted out of sweet sleep by a thunderous boom! A storm was full force all around us. Roaring thunder, flashes of lightning and pouring rain. Lightning strikes knocked out our power.
My husband got up and watched the storm so I could rest. Each storm that we have, he does this; watches over me to let me rest through the storm and get me to safety in time if need be. What an awesome love for someone! To get up in the middle of the night just to watch a storm so that someone else can rest!
This made me think about God and His great love for us! He never rests. He constantly watches over our storms so we can rest. The scripture above says “he that keepeth thee will not slumber”.
No matter how bad your storm is right now, be encouraged that you have someone sitting watch over you, ready at a moment’s notice to get you to safety. Someone who loves you more than you can even imagine, willing to stand watch over you through the storm just to let you rest!
Be Blessed and Strengthened in the Lord through your storms!
