A daily devotion

Psalm 118:1(NIV) Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.

How many times have you stopped whatever you were doing, found a quiet place (or any place) and said “Thank You, God. You are soooooo good!” It always makes me feel good when I do that. It’s like there is something in us that just wants to give thanks. I think God puts a “thank you” button in our hearts which goes mostly unused as we make it through our day trying to solve problems and do important stuff. Saying “thank you” has a special way of putting us in touch with God’s wonderful love.

My challenge to you on this Easter Monday: Stop and give thanks to God. That important stuff…. well it is not more important than God’s love. It can wait.
