Ephesians 2:10 (KJV) For we are his workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Saturday, at the grocery store, I caught a man of color teaching his son to be respectful and courteous toward other people. He pulled is son, who was pushing their buggy, aside and told him "Ladies first always". The boy waited patiently and I saw a white lady come through the door with her cart. He told his son again "Always ladies first" then they walked out of the store.
I caught this man teaching his son respect and courtesy toward total strangers. Not toward people of color. Not toward the white lady. All ladies.
Todays scripture tells us we were created unto good works and we should walk in them. This man got caught teaching his son to be an honorable man. He wasn't loud or even aware that anyone noticed. He was focused on walking in good deeds. His focus was on teaching his son to walk in good deeds.
What if we all focused on walking in good deeds, like God's word tell us? What if, instead of protesting and rioting, people just simply treated others with the respect they want? What if all people taught their children to walk in honor and respect? What if we all were more concerned with getting caught doing good deeds instead of bad deeds?
I challenge you this week to walk unto good works. Get caught doing good toward others. Get caught being a good example. People notice our behavior even when we don't realize they are there.
Have a Blessed Week in Christ!

This is good, Jeanie! I raise my grandson, and I'm ever cautious to teach him what I witnessed my grandmother teach my brother.
An excellent example of wholesome values and moral character. Thank you for sharing.
